Action on Gun Violence

Dear Congressmember:

Yes, it happened again. Students and educators were gunned down in a school. And everyone in America knows it will continue to happen if nothing changes. As our elected leaders, you have a duty to do everything in your power to protect our children from senseless and preventable killings.

Our union represents thousands of responsible gun owners - hunters, hobbyists, collectors and folks who use guns for sports. But these folks - like the majority of Americans - support commonsense gun safety measures. We need universal background checks. We need safe storage laws. We need to provide funding for counseling for our students and our educators. We need to prevent dangerous people from getting their hands on dangerous weapons. We need Congress to do something.

Students, educators and parents are demanding common-sense gun laws to prevent gun violence in our schools and communities.

Members of Congress: we are watching and want to know what are you going to do.
